Coby Karl played as the shooting guard. He played for the Spanish pro club, Joventut Badalona of the Liga ACB in January 2009. In October 2009, he played with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In August 2015, Karl announced his retirement. After retiring from playing career, George Karl’s son began his coaching journey. Coby started working as an assistant coach for the Westchester Knicks, the NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knicks in October 2015. George Karl’s son Coby Karl is a cancer survivor. Coby suffered from thyroid cancer at the age of 21. He was diagnosed with cancer only after six months after his father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Both the father-son duo defeated their cancer with a fighter spirit. Coby underwent radioactive iodine treatment for papillary carcinoma. His cancer was considered one of the most treatable cancers. Coby hasn’t been open about his personal life.
