In the spring of 2017, Bud Grant’s son Bruce was having problems with depression. Bud’s youngest son, Danny urges Bruce to go to the hospital and see a doctor. Bruce alongside his brother went to Riverside and spent a few hours in the emergency room for his checkup. After the checkup, Bruce had several brain tumors. On May 30, 2017, Bruce was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Moreover, he has to go through surgery to remove the tumors with the most troubling one, in his frontal lobe. After diagnosis, he has to go through several surgeries.
The former Minnesota Vikings head coach, Bud Grant’s son Bruce Grant took his last breath in July 2018. He died 14 months after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
